Feature: Stephan Anstey Day 3

Thunder after Sunbathing in Nice

whittling all the clouds
into spoons to serve the angels tea
rain drop by rain drop
until i'm left with only blue and you.

vapid little french girls
volcano topless; unexploded
hot as hades when it's frozen hell
i would see them if I weren't so busy
cutting back on what isn't right.

you roll onto the side
where your disposition is so sweet
'Honey,' I smile
and you jump right
into me.

i stir you
in
and out again

you stir me
heart and soul

the angels sip on chamomile

until
it's time for God to bowl.
